Keith A. Green Profile Image

Keith A. Green joined McGill in 1989 and is a shareholder and Vice President. Born in Cooperstown, New York, Keith graduated from Cooperstown Central High School in 1975. He majored in political science at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he was active in the International Relations Organization, Pre-Law Society, the Model United Nations, and the political science honor society. He received his B.A. degree in 1979.

From 1980-1981, Keith attended the University of Delaware. He studied political science, specializing in international relations and political theory. Working toward a master’s degree, Keith passed his graduate examinations with distinction.

Before studying law at Creighton, Keith was a Specialist 4 in the U.S. Army. Keith served as a military intelligence analyst from 1983 to 1985. In 1984, Keith received the Army Achievement Medal for his outstanding activity in the field.

While attending Creighton University School of Law, Keith received the Highest Triennial Average Award and the Outstanding Student Award. He earned numerous American Jurisprudence awards for highest grade in many classes. He was the recipient of the McGrath, North, Mullin & Kratz Scholarship, and the Winthrop and Frances Lane Foundation Scholarship. Keith was assistant editor of the Creighton Law Review. In 1989, Keith graduated summa cum laude.

Keith’s practice focuses primarily on business transactions with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, real estate acquisitions and sales, and entity reorganizations. His practice additionally includes private placement securities transactions and trademark work. Keith is a business-minded lawyer with strong attention to detail and a solution-oriented approach to business issues. He works on nearly all the firm’s clients’ major deals individually or in a team approach and clients trust him implicitly. He has the capability to listen to everything going on in a room and hone in on the most relevant information, which often can make or break a deal.

Since 2008, Keith has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in the field of Mergers and Acquisitions Law and was named Best Lawyers’ 2016 Mergers and Acquisitions Law “Lawyer of the Year” for Omaha. Additionally, Keith has earned the AV Preeminent designation in Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™, the gold standard in attorney ratings. Keith is a member of the Omaha, Nebraska and American Bar Associations.
