Trent grew up on a farm in southwest Iowa. He practices primarily in the areas of taxation, estate planning, estate and trust administration, employee benefits and general corporate law. Many clients he works with are involved in agriculture and have complex estate plans and income tax returns. Trent is licensed to practice law in both Nebraska and Iowa.
Trent graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in Finance. He then attended the University of Nebraska College of Law and graduated with his Juris Doctor degree. Trent is a graduate of the Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce Leadership Council Bluffs Program, he authored the Nebraska chapter of the ABA Sales and Use Tax Deskbook and has earned his designation as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy.
Trent represents clients in all aspects of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and guardianships and conservatorships. Trent advises a wide variety of individual and corporate clients, including farmers and small businesses, on income tax compliance matters. He has vast experience in working with the Internal Revenue Service, the Nebraska Department of Revenue, and the Iowa Department of Revenue, and has practiced before the United States Tax Court. Trent is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, and the Omaha Bar Association. He is the past President of the Council Bluffs Estate Planning Council and has served on the Board of Trustees for the Christian Home Association. Trent has received an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell.
