Aimee Cizek Profile Image

Aimee Cizek joined McGill as a shareholder in 2021. She graduated from Creighton University School of Law in 2003 and is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, and Omaha Bar Association. Before joining Stalnaker, Becker & Buresh in 2007, Aimee served as a deputy county attorney in Douglas County and prosecuted violent crimes against women and children.  She also has extensive civil litigation experience handling hundreds of cases involving many diverse industries and types of clients.  One area of particular emphasis for Aimee has been the representation of construction companies and individual clients in real estate disputes and litigation, including breach of contract claims and construction liens.

In addition to being a skilled litigator, Aimee has also developed her practice in several non-litigation areas, including general corporate matters, sales and acquisitions of businesses, estate planning and probate.  These diverse practice areas enable her to work with clients to develop multi-generational business and estate plans.  Aimee spends a significant amount of her time practicing real estate law, particularly representing commercial landlords; buying/selling commercial and residential property; and resolving title issues.

The words that best describe Aimee might be “results-oriented” and “curious.”  She believes that the best way to meet a client’s needs is to first understand their goals, objectives, or problems at hand, and she accomplishes that by developing genuine and lasting relationships with her clients.  Aimee is passionate about her work and obtaining outstanding results for her clients.

Aimee enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, international travel, and surrounding herself with friends who challenge her to be the best version of herself.  Aimee is a life-long learner, and in her downtime can be found engrossed in a non-fiction book or documentary.
