MGWL is looking for a skilled Estate Planning Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related areas of law. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to develop and implement comprehensive estate plans that meet their unique needs and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and reviewing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
- Advising clients on estate planning strategies, tax implications, and asset protection.
- Administering estates and trusts, including probate proceeds and trust administration.
- Conducting legal research and staying current with changes in estate planning laws and regulations.
- Collaborating with other attorneys and legal staff to provide exceptional client service.
- Managing client relationships and maintaining regular communication within the community.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Nebraska state bar and in good standing.
- 3-5 years of experience in estate planning, trust, and estate administration.
- Strong knowledge of estate planning laws, tax regulations, and probate procedures.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and research skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and cases simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
